About

Most people choose a career from a menu they never got to see. We want to change that.

Talent Couch is a conversation about careers. Not the polished version you post on LinkedIn, but the real one: the decisions, the doubts, the paths you didn't know existed, and the moments when you realise the safe choice might be the expensive one.

We host two kinds of conversations. Host roundtables: the three of us around the couch arguing about work, ambition, money and transitions. And guest episodes: people who have actually walked uncommon paths - product managers, career switchers, industry outsiders, people who found work that fits - telling us what they do, how they got there, and what they wish they'd known sooner.

The three of us are Nigerian friends - Jephtah, Debbie and Eniola. That upbringing shapes how we see the world: the emphasis on family, the complicated relationship with ambition, the directness, the humour, the scepticism. But we are not here to speak for Nigeria, or for the diaspora, or for anyone in particular. We're here because the problem is universal: too many people are making major life decisions from a list they never got to see.

We don't promise perfect answers. Just more options, better questions, and honest disagreement.

It started as a conversation between three people who kept ending up in the same argument. It's becoming a place - video, audio, essays, letters and eventually live conversations.
